"Subjective Charm" is a collection of work focusing on the beauty of her female characters. These stylized figures draw highly on influential, doe-eyed cartoon imagery, evident in their candid gazes. Sitting pretty, lost in a dreamy atmosphere of washed out colors; they are usually ornamented with plants or unusual animals that are meant to create an unsettling
blend between the estranged and the enchanted. Whether lost in a fantastical narrative, or simply frozen in beauty, their reason for being should exist between the viewer's own personal undertaking and the overwhelming presence of charm.

Up the Yangtze

So I just returned from seeing the documentary "Up the Yangtze" at Cinema Paradiso in downtown Ft. Lauderdale , I'd definitely recommend that you check it out... here is some info I got from spout.com:

Yung Chang’s documentary Up the Yangtze had the honor of being the first sale at a Sundance that has turned out to be a rather quiet marketplace. The film explores the area of the Yangtze River currently being flooded by the Three Gorges Dam, the largest hydroelectric project in the world. As millions are being displaced by rising waters, luxury ships known as “farewell cruises” tour the coastal areas soon to be submerged. Chang’s film follows two young employees on once such boat, as they navigate the difficulties of working their first jobs, set against the back ground of a rapidly changing China.

"My girl wants to party all the time, party all the time, party all the tiiime..."

Here are the Seven Signs You are Dating a Party Girl:

  1. She is under the influence of something everytime we go out

  2. She requires a lot of attention

  3. She has to be on the scene and has to be seen

  4. She dresses provocatively

  5. She often goes out without you

  6. She does parties in multiples (binge partying)

  7. She's dead to the world on Sundays

I’ve personally known my fair share of party girls – and I’d say this list covers the majors. Not all party girls display all seven characteristics – but I’d say if your date or girlfriend has five or more of these seven then she is without question a party girl. Here’s an elaboration on each of the seven signs.

1) She is under the influence of something every time you go out.
Most of time this means that she drinks to excess whenever you go out. By “drinking to excess”, I don’t necessarily mean that she gets twisted – she may or may not get twisted. Rather I mean that she drinks more than minimally … she might have five glasses of wine, for example. Being under the influence can also refer to drugs, this may also include over the counter drugs – one of my female friend party girls on occasion has been known to take "OTC" decongestants, and then drinks two or three drinks. When I told her that she was a party girl, she was offended – which I found hilarious.

2) She requires a lot of attention.
Party girls are often Attention Whores – women who need a lot of attention, praise, reinforcement, etc. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a woman being an attention whore … most women appreciate attention, some just require more of it than others. You have to tell her that she looks good … you have to notice little things she has done or is wearing … you have to give her a kiss when you see her … maybe hold her hand … maybe write her a cute little note or something. You get the idea. Don’t overdo it though – else you yourself might just become annoying.

3) She has to be on the scene & has to be seen.
The more hardcore party girl will always feel the need to be on the scene. Now this goes a step further then just partying multiple times a week. She will also go through a mini withdrawl if she isn't at the party. She'll complain about how she's missing this club or that party. She'll think out loud, wondering who's there (at the party). (And) when she is at the party she has to make it known that she is at least aquainted with the popular bartender, club/party promoters, and or bouncers alike. She'll make sure everyone sees her saying hello, or she'll hang out on the perimiter of where they are standing/sitting. She may even offer a tid bit of personal info on them just to prove that she has to be cool with them... how else would she know?

4) She dresses provocatively.
Assuming your party girl girlfriend is good-looking, then her dressing provocatively can be very hot. Dressing provocatively is closely related to item 2) above – she requires a lot of attention.

5) She often goes out without you.
Party girls love to party – even if you are not always available to go with her. She may go out and party several times each week – sometimes with you, sometimes with her party girl girlfriends, etc. She simply loves to go out.

6) She does parties in multiples (binge partying).
"Party, party, party!" When I say multiple I mean for a party girl the party never stops. She'll starts out her festivities at either a happy hour for light chatter and drink specials... or at a friends place for pre club warm ups (drinking that is). She will then want to go to the club or party that most of the group planned on going to. (This represents the main course. of her party dish...) at 3 or 4 it's on to the after hours club (dessert) which typically lets out around 8 am. This is an ideal night for a Party girl girlfriend and she's always up for one of these.

7) She is dead to the world on Sundays.
After a marathon of clubbing , drinking, partying, and possibly other physical activities. your girlfriend will be completetly done by sunday. she'll sleep anywhere from 10-15 hours... meaning she'll be up (but still out of it) somewhere from the times of 1pm to even as late as 5pm. If she ventures out of the house after that she will be aided by sunglasses to help combat her photosensitivity as well as her headache. But hey she's gotta get her rest because tomorrow's monday and monday promises a week of all new parties!

If you do not already know what it is like to date a party girl, then I hope you discover how much fun they are to date, although it usually doesn't last longer than a few month & will either just phase out or crash and burn... INITIALLY... they are one of the more fun types of women out there. Enjoy the party while it lasts!
