Shelborne South Beach Resort
Wednesday, November 30 through Sunday, December 4

“Art of Night” during Art Basel 2011, the first ever photography exhibit of nightlife’s foremost photographer, Seth Browarnik.

The Art of Night exhibit will officially open in tandem with the relaunch of the Shelborne South Beach Resort.

Please save the date for the exhibition and the opening night party on November 30, 2011, which is being produced by Susanne Bartsch, whose outlandish over-the-top parties unite the haute and demi-monde.

Karl Lagerfeld, Yoko Ono, Jay Z, Dennis Hopper, Daphne Guinness and Michael Jackson are just a few of the icons on display in Art of Night. The collection shows a slice of celebrity life that often goes unseen while also portraying the passage of time and the evolution of pop culture. The photos expose moments of debauchery, of excess, of frantic backstage preparation, of pure unadulterated elation, of undeniable adoration. At Art of Night guests can get a glimpse at it all, and walk away with a piece of it. “Art of Night is a look at the world through my eyes over the last decade– it’s a momentary peek behind the velvet rope. All of these photos capture people and places at their best, and they all tell the story of a moment,” says Browarnik. “In its 10th year, Art Basel Miami Beach is a celebration of art, fashion, revelry and glamour – it felt like the right time to finally reflect on some of these moments and celebrate them once again.”
